Attention GMS Families! Our Lighthouse Team has received some good news from the Galion Health Department! We officially have the green light to host our 3rd Annual Spooktacular event on October 29th from 6-7:30 PM. This year, due to pandemic, this fun event will be held outside in the GMS parking lot, and will be done in a drive-through style! 2020 Spooktacular is open to Galion families with children grade levels PK-5. The entrance fee for this event will be one canned, non-perishable, food donation per family. More info will follow, but as of now...SAVE THE DATE! And spread the good news! |
Who is ready for fall? |
2020 might be dragging its feet, but there is no denying, fall is upon us! Pretty soon we will be enjoying cooler weather, long sleeve shirts, leaves changing colors, and who knows, maybe even one of those over-hyped pumpkin-spice lattes! And while current pandemic might slightly put a damper on your seasonal plans, we say there is absolutely no reason why you should not have some major quality time with your family and friends this fall! Quick search of the mighty world wide web produced a comprehensive list of 33 fun things you can still do this fall with your family...even during a pandemic! Now, if number 33 overwhelms you, not to worry! We went ahead and narrowed the list down to our top 9 picks and nicely packaged them in one of our Fall Family Bingo Cards! |
50/50 Combo Activity
Do a hands-on family art project, and then show it off to a loved one online! Combine the traditional with the new age technology in these activities. |
Chores can be fun!
So go ahead and do a load of laundry together or at least write a thoughtful thank you note to your mom or dad if they already did it for you! |
Meditation anyone?
Grab yourselves some yoga mats or blankets and have a family meditation session. First one to break the silence or burst into laughter cleans the dinner table! |
Family Portrait Time
Oh yes, it is time to coordinate those outfits, pick out a location with fall scenery, and good luck getting everyone to smile at the same time. Or keep their eyes open! |
